Anna is Nineteen
Anna turned 19 years old today. It was a banner day for her. Her friends at the Beauty College gave her a birthday party and tribute (writing birthday greetings on her car). The usual suspects, Janelle & Jackson, Shannon & Monica & Matt, the Camellos: Dave & Sue & Julie Ann & Caity, and Jimmy and his sisters and their sons. Also in attendance were Ginger and Mini (the Chihuahuas).
Anna's menu included boneless ribs, baked beans, fruit salad, corn, and 2 chocolate cakes.
Crossroads Church of Fremont, California.
A new church for a new generation.
Today is the day that we formally introduce Paul McGovern, Dwayne Petty, Jackson Perdue, and Judy Allen as the new staff of Irvington Baptist Church (IBC) doing-business-as Crossroads Church. It's been a long road, over two years, that we've traveled to get to this point. The 50 or so members of IBC will be joining the 300 or so members of Crossroads to minister together. We're excited to begin a new chapter in the history of IBC and Crossroads. The new staff is really commited to spreading the good news throughout our community and Crossroads has grown from a small church plant to what it is today in just a few short years. IBC just celebrated its 50th Anniversary this past spring.
Shannon: It's Your Birthday!
It's the start of the August birthday season at the Cornelio household. Today marked 22 years for Shannon. We celebrated at our home with close friends and family. Cathy made some wonderful potato salad (just like I like it) and Kara cooked up some Teriyaki flank steak on the Hibachi (barbecue grill). It was wonderful.
